If you hadn't already noticed, Sega means business with their DC.  After the recent announcement concerning the PSX2, Sega Vice-pressident said that they want to sell 3 million DC's by the time PSX2 is about to launch with 1 million coming before the end of their fiscal year, March 31.  Sega is preparing a counterstrike starting with this years spring 99' TGS (Tokyo Game Show).

With the potential that developing for the PSX2 might be too expensive for some companies, rumors suggests that Sega is taking advantage of this by talking with several 3rd party companies.  This spring TGS show shows off 2 of the key DC titles, RE: Code Veronica and the greatly hyped Shen Mue.  This month features some key DC titles being released including House of the Dead 2.

GDC NEWS:  The US Dreamcast will include a 56k modem as opposed to Japan's 33.6k gives DC's online capabilites a huge boost, showing the world that Sega is very serious when it comes to their new system.  Also, Sega COO, Bernie Stolar announced that there will indeed be a DVD player for the Dreamcast, but only when Sega thinks the developers and the consumers are ready for them, mostly in terms of price.

We'll keep you posted as we hear more.
