Final Fantasy 8: This game can definitely speak for itself. The marquis of Squaresoft, its their trademark RPG. Starring real-life characters, gorgeous FMV's, immersing characters, and a deep storyline, this game looks to be crowned as the best PSX game of 99'. Final Fantasy Anthology: RPG fans can now experience two excellent FF games from the days of the old SNES. Containing both FFV and FFVI (sorry no 3 games like the Jap. version), this compilation brings excellent story and a make over to these 2 games for the Playstation. Chocobo Dungeon 2: Renamed from the Japanese game Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon 2, Chocobo's Dungeon 2 is a dungeon-based RPG starring the super-deformed bird-like creature known for its role in the Final Fantasy series. The first of the series never made it out to North America, but this one looks to set sail to this side of the ocean and the end of this year.
Chocobo Racing: A Mario Kart-like multi-player racer, Chocobo Racing looks to be a light, fun racer chock full of Square's popular characters. First is a list of the characters you initially get in the game and their vehicles. Goblin Gobtroco H4 (a mine cart, minus the rails) The object is to gather up the magic stones scattered around the courses whilst protecting yourself from rival attacks (a bit like the boxes in Mario Kart). The magic stones give you different powers, and if you take the same one more than once, the power's strength is greatly increased. These stones can also be collected and towed behind your vehicle for later use. |
