Well, it looks like Activision has finally come full circle and hit the Sega Dreamcast, and we took a little time out to take a test spin in their first in-house DC title. If this early look is any indication, we are in for one helluva ride, as this game should offer a ton of improvements over the original and looks to take full advantage of the DC's considerable power. The game looks incredible, and even though its only 60% complete version, it is evident that this version will be the best yet. Offering multi-player for up to four combatants, V8:SO is sure to pack a ton of action. At this point, the models were very impressive, but the physics were still a bit rough in the early version. Activision hinted at the possibility of network play, but has yet to confirm this. They did say that the DC version will offer multi-player for up to four participants, so we'll be sure to keep tabs on its status. V8 is due out some time later this year; we'll be back with a full report a bit closer to launch.
