1932
|
Got into the Swedish army to be an officer,
got kicked out of the army after two years because
they didn't like his pro Soviet attitude. He was at that time a Sgt.

1934
|
Went to Moscow because he wanted to join the Red Army and since they
were a bit short of officers he was convinced that he
would be accepted. But it took a long time before he was accepted and
they sent him to Vladivostok in the east for basic training. During that
time they began to understand he could become a rather good soldier. |

1938
|
Was in the war between Russia and Japan where he served well, at one time ha took out a machinegun nest all by himself. Later on he told us that he was lost in the dark when he fell into the nest where he started
to fight for his life. The one thing that saved him was that he had a sub-machingun with him belonging to his captain...)

| 1940 |
After the war against Japan he was put into a
unit that was meant to be a special force trained and equiped for the bitter
climate in the eastern region. He did serve in that unit until he was transferd
to the western army.

Begun his service in the western army in the GDS
where he stayed during the whole war. |
