Unknown Interview

"Tyrra(teenager who interviewed him):How did you get into acting?

Stephen:Well, watching movies. I go to see every one I can get to. I always wanted to be an actor, so I took an acting class. My parents weren't that thrilled at first. You know, they were worried about how it would affect my studies and all. Then, one day, an agent came to the class, saw me, and started me doing commercials. I've been acting ever since.

Tyrra: Who is your favorite actor?

Stephen: Since Rainman, I'd have to say Dustin Hoffman. He's powerful.

Tyrra: If you could star in any movie, what would it be?

Stephen: I don't know- just one that's never been done before. I like to play characters that are a real challenge. And, I would really like for everything I do to have some kind of message. I'd like to help kids. I'd like for the way I create myself on the screen to help send a message.

Tyrra: What was your biggest challenge so far?

Stephen: The movie, In Love and War. It was very emotional and had a lot of serious roles. I really appreciate that kind of challenge.

Tyrra: What would you be doing if you weren't acting?

Stephen: I'm not sure what I'd be doing, but I'd sure be missing something!

Tyrra: Who would you dedicate your autobiography to?

Stephen: To my parents, my family and my manager.

Tyrra: What are your plans for the future?

Stephen: I'd like to continue acting, and, eventually, I'd like to direct. I like to do movies and I think that is the thing I would most like to do next. It allows for so much creative control- control you don't have as an actor.

Tyrra: What advice would you give to teens just starting out in the business?

Stephen: I'd say, make very sure this is really what you want to do. It's a lot of work. Don't do it just because it looks fun. Do it for the craft. And, believe in yourself. You'll succeed.

Tyrra: Do you still have the same friends now as you did before you started acting?

Stephen: Well, now, of course, a lot of my friends are in acting too. Other than that, they are pretty much the same.

Tyrra: If you could get one message out to all the youth of the world, what would it be?

Stephen: Take things seriously, don't screw up, life comes just once, don't blow it!"
