-- Stephen Dorff in Details Magazine (1/95) --

American juvenile actor Stephen Dorff has utilized his craggy facial features to portray troubled teens and young adults in both television and movies. Debuting in 1987, Dorff has appeared in such TV movies as I Know My First Name is Steven (1987) and A Son's Promise (1990), and was a regular in the syndicated sitcom. His film assignments have included Judgment Night, in which Dorff, Emilio Estevez, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Dennis Leary played four Chicago suburbanites who come to grief when involved in a hit-and-run on the city's notorious South Side. Stephen Dorff achieved top billing in the role of unfortunate Beatle-that-never-was Stu Sutcliffe in the 1993 biopic Backbeat. --  Hal Erickson, All-Movie Guide
