Abstrusness of Hyrule - Gone Fishin'

Here's a glitch that lets you bring the fishing pole outside of the Fishing Pond.
This trick can only be done on Version 1.0/Gold cartiage.
Go to the Fishing Pond at Lake Hylia. Pay the man 20 rupees to fish. Now slap on your Hover Boots and walk forward onto the water so that your Hover Boots activate. Next press B to cast the line. Right after casting the line, hold back on the analog stick to divert the camera. Now press Z twice so that you can see Link. Make your way over to the door until Open appears on the action button and open the door. You are now outside with the fishing pole equipped to the sword button!

I heard something about being able to make a Deku Stick appear where the Master Sword or Biggoron Sword is on the Status Screen, but I don't know exactly how to do it. I'll have to experiment some more with it and tell you what I find out.
