This is the "Not so Great" part of my site. The below list is of websites/people that I don't like because they have given flase information, used exclusive stuff on this site on their own site without giving accreditation to me or my site, or have copied a part of my site from the source code. If you see your name/site here, fix what you've done wrong and I'll consider taking you off of here.
You know, I'm really getting fed up with people/sites stealing my glitches that I found and don't give credit to me! I saw where on Hyrule: The Land of Zelda, who is unfortunatly back up now, now has a "Code Bag" where they tell all these codes and glitches and such. They posted Video Gamer X's Debug Code off of Odyssey of Hyrule and didn't give credit to him or his site, but have now since they steal most of their ideas and things from his site anyway, they don't want him to be mad at them (hahahaha)! But anyway, we have some people that have submited glitches to Hyrule: The Land of Zelda who took them off of my site without credit to me or my site! Here are the following people and what they stole:
The stealing of glitches without giving credit is strictly prohibited! It's not right, taking credit for something somebody else discovered. That's like taking credit for discovering a new dinosaur to put it into simple terms. Just don't do it and you won't be put to shame!
#1. I saw someone talking about beating one
of the temples as a kid and I did infact do that. I beat the
shadow temple as young link and had to face Bongo-Bongo to do
so (he was reaaaaaaaallllllly hard to beat). #2. The whole in Big Brother's room in Goron City. I again used the moon jump code with GameShark to get up there and it just stops. It is either a dead-end, or a one way passage. #3. The symbole on the bean-selling guy's
arm. You say this has something to do with the jogger or the
bird statue? Well I have a current time of 1:01 with the jogger
(i don't care if you belive me or not, i know i do for a fact!).
I am yet to see what I can do with it, such as beat the game
after I have gotten that time. #4. Has anybody talked to the man in the high
tower that you climb the high ladder to get up in Kakariko Village
after you beat the Fire Temple? #5. I have also gotten into Gerudo Fortress
as a kid!! And there is something helpful in there!! Ok.. I used
GameShark yet again to gain access to Gerudo Fortress. NOBODY
except me knows about this and i think i'm going to give you
the pleasure of discovering... drum roll please..... the 37th
Heart Piece!!!!! Yes it's true!!!! There is a 37th Heart Piece!
Use GameShark and the moon jump code to "fly" over
the lady blocking your way to Gerudo Fortress. When you get into
Gerudo Fortress, go up to the place above the cell where link
gets thrown down if he gets caught when he is an adult. Up there
is wala! the 37th Heart Piece... so you all want to know about more exclusive
findings like the 37th heart piece?! well i've got plenty more
at my website.. the Abstrusness of Hyrule. Here's the address...
the one true zelda master... One of the webmasters' responses. Sorry to say this but the
37th heart piece trick is known by almost everybody now. And
once again, we NEVER show other sites URL's unless the owners
pay a considerable amount of money. (We accept credit cards)

Now if that wasn't enough bashing, you've got to read what this "100% dude" guy submitted to their site. It's about MY Swordless Link Glitch!!! I can't believe this guy took credit for this trick. Notice he says the same EXACT procedure found on this site with a little bit of added stuff! This guy is a "100% cheat"!
So, as you have guessed, I couldn't perform the 'Swordless Link' glitch (SLG in future reference). But there was a glitch submitted by T-dog, called 'Crooked Cartridge' (for the info on how to perform it please look in my previous letter), which sounded interesting to me. And as I was toying around with it, I made the Greater Discovery(tm): I MANAGED TO PERFORM THE 'SWORDLESS LINK' GLITCH EVEN IN MY VERSION OF ZELDA, WHICH IS VERSION 1.2. YES, YOU HEARD RIGHT. THE 'SWORDLESS LINK' GLITCH CAN BE DONE IN 1.2 VERSION!!!! THIS WILL PROVE THAT THE GLITCH HAS NEVER BEEN FIXED, IT WAS THE WAY TO PERFORM IT THAT WAS FIXED!!!! THIS HAS NOT BEEN PUBLISHED ANYWHERE ELSE 100%. NOW, LET'S GET TO BUSINESS AKA HOW TO DO IT (this will be long): Title: Perform the 'Swordless Link' glitch in version 1.2 of Zelda 64 1. Right away an important note: If you want the glitch badly (which you do, I'm sure), I must warn you: In order to get the SLG to work, you WILL HAVE to perform 'Crooked Cartridge' glitch (CCG in future reference; instructions are in my previous letter). 2. From my experience the SLG can be done only once in 1.2 version (I'm running excessive tests here concerning that matter!). 3. There are some restrictions which you must never allow yourself to do: 4. (Reread the number 3 again, please!)
That means you will have to do the CCG at least two times (I may be wrong here): 5. Here I will list important things. [AUTHOR'S NOTE: Remember, I am not claiming myself as the owner of the SLG, which is T-dog, (PAY SPECAIL ATTENTION HERE!!) I claim myself as the owner of another way to perform the SLG!!! ]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ THAT CONCLUDES IT GUYS AND GALS. SORRY FOR NOT INCLUDING THE REST OF INTERESTING POINTS IN HERE, BUT I THOUGHT IT MAY COME IN HANDY IN MY THIRD LETTER. Look at that! "I claim myself as the owner of another way to perform the SLG!!!"!! He claimed that that is his glitch!! That's my glitch and nobody can use it without my permission! The nerve of some people, can you believe it?! This guy is NEVER coming off of the Wall of SHAME no matter even if he appologizes! This is the biggest offense ever commited against this site and probably the biggest one that will ever be created in history. |
UPDATE: The above situation has been resolved. Shortly after posting this, I received an email from "100% dude" in which he appologized to me. Below you will find the email he sent me which will not include his email address for his privacy.
John, if you're reading this, I hereby say: Don't turn away right now, but please read to the end. After my previous message, which I sent to Zelda MB on HTLOZ at 1.55am on 7May, I checked your site thoroughly to find any potential leads to prove your words and it appeared you were right. You say you discovered it in the section Previous updates (10 March 1999), which happened to be the last section I clicked. Now I too have discovered that way to perform, BUT HAVE NEVER EVER BEEN TO YOUR SITE BEFORE, which is because I thought I was first. I made the first visit to your site when TriforceGuy pointed it out, which was like 5 days ago I think. So I admit it: YOU WERE THE FIRST WITH THAT GLITCH. Now I know you're feeling hurt and that you think I stole your idea... but stealing is not my style. I don't do that because I know what it leads to. The main reason I was so stubborn was because it was TriforceGuy who was the one to say that I'm wrong. Now I've had bad experiences with him from the old Zelda MB, when he constantly bashed the others, using too many excessive cursing, so I naturally thought 'Aha, TriforceGuy saw another cool glitch and wants it for himself', only this time I chose to fight back. I was wrong in my conviction and I'm sorry for that. I really wish that TriforceGuy wouldn't be the one to tell me I wasn't first with the glitch. One thing to consider. Has it ever happened to YOU that you found out something really cool and thought 'Gee. Look at that. I'm sure there's no-one that has done this before!' What will you do? Will you check the whole Internet if the discovered stuff you want to post is already somewhere there or will you post the discovered stuff and credit yourself?? Certainly you won't the first one, but the second one, ie post the info on the stuff you found out and give yourself credit. Now imagine the surprise you can experience when you log on one day and there it is... you see a message 'You ****. You stole my idea. How dare you do that! I'm the rightful owner! etc, etc...' In many cases the two can't work anything out and it ends like this---> the original owner of the idea puts the later 'owner' of the idea on a Wall of Shame or something similar and bashes him. Which is exactly how we ended up... I've never experienced that the original owner would have some understanding for the later owner in such manner, that the original owner wouldn't use any harsh words for the later owner, but instead tell the later owner in nice manner that the idea was already published somewhere else. Also another thing to take into consideration. Both you and I are humans. There is no way in the world that you nor I know about every darn Zelda site on the Internet. There may be 1000 of'em. You really can't check them all out. And another. When I bought Zelda64 when it came out, I checked some sites and decided for 3 of them: HTLOZ, Odyssey, and Zelda64 Central, which in my opinion did satisfy my expectations. These sites exist for quite some time now, while on the other hand your site is very young. According to your updates section, it was established on 21 February 1999. That's around 75 days now. And my first time there was 5 days ago. Even though I ended up somewhere where I never expected to, I'm glad that you proved more mature than somebody other I know. You haven't used any f-words and didn't encourage the others to send spam. Well, the actions taken here: This is the way the life goes. It has some good things and some bad. I stumbled upon good one, which turned out to be the bad one. I again apologize to you for the chaos I've caused you and if I will stay where I am right now, I can take responsibility. In hope for this things to work out... 100%dude CYA SOON AGAIN. 100%DUDE |
I am hearby accepting this appology. I over reacted on this, not thinking that another person could've figured this out for themselves, with no offense to any of the other true Zelda Masters out there that have come across great glitches including 100% dude.
