Harvest Moon for Playstation has been released. The story line is that you have to take over an old rundown farm that was your grandfather's. You also have childhood memories about a girl and wonder what the future will hold for you. When you go to the farm you know no one in the village and it is your job to bring the farm to working conditions and to get to know people. You have 3 years to do this and after the 3 years a vote will be taken to deiced if you will stay. Harvest Moon Back to Nature includes many new things as well as keeps some of the old things from previous games. You will be farming during most of the game. You can pick up seeds at the supermarket and you can raise sheep, chickens, and cows as animals. If you need extra money you could go to the hill to pick up things like berries or cut wood to be able to make improvements to the farm and your home. Your farm has been expanded since the N64 version now including an apple tree, pond for fishing, and more. You can upgrade your house and upgrade your animal coops to hold more animals and to be able to make things like mayonnaise, yarn, and cheese. Once you build a kitchen you can make recipes from the cooking show and even use the ones you have received from others in the village. Also this game included many new places in the village like a blacksmith, supermarket, and a clinic. To make the game even more interesting you will be able to date and get married. You can go to festivals and there are birthdays for the people in the village. Many of the festivals have been changed since the N64 version. Some of the festivals include the cooking festival and the Tomato festival. The game also has features that let you see all of the farm products you have shipped, how much money you have made and spent this season, and other farm information like farm improvements. The game even includes Harvest Sprites, which could help you out on the farm. Good luck and enjoy! |
