Are you going to change your image over the next few months?
Image is very important, so hopefully we'll do something different. We've done shoots for a wide range of style magzines recently where we have a tougher, older looking image. I think our clothes reflect the fact we're starting to grow up.
Do you ever feel you're getting to old for this pop lark?
No way! I only feel about 12! There's some people who've been doing it for 50 years. I'm only 21, so there's plenty of time left for me. Ask me again when I'm 70.
Truthfully,do you think the name Boyzone is inappropriate now?
Boyzone is just a name. I don't think people analyse it too much. A lot of fans have started calling us BZ which is pretty cool.
But if you could change the group's name what would you change it to?
I honestly don't think I could change it, after all the name Boyzone's got us this far. I'm happy to stick with it!
Boyzone work and party hard. Do you worry you might burn out in '98?
I'm not a real party person. I prefer to chill out. You know, relax and read a book or go to the cinema. At the end of the day I'm so tired I fall into bed and get some sleep. I don't think there is much chance of me burning out somehow.
Are any of you going to settle down soon?
No way. This year is going to be mega busy for us, but that's the way we like it.
Would you like to put your name to loads of products this year like the Spice Girls have done?
I'd endorse some things, but I wouldn't go into overkill. The publicity can only be a good thing though. Look at the Spice Girls - you can't turn around in a supermarket without seeing them on something.They've done really well for themselves.
If this year you had a second chance at something from the last four years what would it be?
I'd like to do another Disney song. Having a song in the film Hercules was a real buzz. I'd love to do a voiceover for a Disney film too - that'd be brillant.
What skill would you most like to learn this year?
I'd love to get back into acting. I'm not quite sure when I'd it in but it'd be grand to get even a small part in something.
You often say you're not happy with your body.Are you going to work out more in '98?
If I have time I certainly will.I'm definitely going to cut down on the amount of rubbish I eat and try to look after myself a bit more.
If you could invent a aftershave what'd be?
A Hercules scent.It'd be a mixture of air and sea. The smell would represent nature.
What aftershave are you wearing now, Stephen?
Dune for Men. It's got a very earthy, natural smell. Mmm!
