Heavy Rain
Like the calm after the storm
my not sorrys
struck lightning
on our revisited
Siamese existence.
But not before one more
artificial rainbow.
Like paper pennies
in a dry wishing well,
I willed you to stay.
Even after you wore your slicker under thunder,
I threw away forget me nots.
Like tiny ice hearts
cracked on pavement,
I play the duck duck goose game
under damp sheets and whining fans.
Like sad Saturn,
I abide my time
in the too high sky
screwing my eyes into lucky mortals.
And wait for your return.
