A Few words about Bro. Mathew Paul
Born on the 8th of September 1948, Mathew Paul is the eldest son of Mrs.&Mr. V.M.Paul, Punnackamannil, Ranny, Central Kerala. He began his theological studies at South India Bible Seminary, Bangarapet in 1965. Joined Hindustan Bible Institute in Madras the following year and completed L.Th of Serampore in 1969. Mathew got his B.D. from Union Biblical Seminary in 1972 and M.Th.(O.T. and Hebrew) of Serampore through U.T.C., Bangalore 1979. Served as a teacher for three years in between. Married in 1974 the couple went to England and completed their course in Linguistics and Bible Translation through the Wycliffe Bible Translators. While on a translation project for Alu Kurumbas of the Nilgiris, they left the project in 1991, when he became ill and both his lower limbs paralysed. Now staying at Coimbatore, he travels around conducting seminars on prayer, challenging believers to cultivate a habit of secret praying, as health permits. His wife, Joyce is the youngest daughter of (late) evangelist M.E.Cherian of Madurai.
