Text Box: The philantrophist couple from Holland, Jo and Truss Schoorlemmer are back in Buhi to give more graces to the municipality.
 
Arriving just recently, the couple proceed immediately to Ipil Elementary School to give one television set and a vcd player for use in the visual education needs of the grade school there. They are also scheduled to go to Macaangay Elementary School and San Ramon Elementary School today where another TV set and a VCD player will also be donated.
 
The Schoorlemmer’s were accompanied in their travel this time by two journalist from Holland, Jan and Jeroen of the top daily newspaper of national circulation. The two newsmen are making a documentary of the couple’s activities in Buhi as a feature for their magazine. They also acknowledged the fact that all donations and assistance of Jo & Truss to Buhi were religiously coursed by Mayor and Mrs. Belza to intended beneficiaries with proper documentation and acknowledgement receipts.
 
The couple was introduced by Nathan Sergio, a buhinon who is serving as Robredo’s secretary at Naga City, sometime in 2001 who have frequently come to love Buhi as their own. Their Holland organization, the Heeten Helpgood Centre Filipinjin is their conduit of many assistance to the municipality which at present is estimated at a couple of million pesos now. Among these were hospital beds, wheel chairs, medical equipments and supplies for the Buhi Community Hospital aside from medical kits to the 38 barangay health stations of the municipality. The Special Education Class of the Buhi Central were among the favorite recipient of assistance from the couple through livelihood tools and equipments and financial assistance.
 
It will be remembered that the couple were adopted as a son and daughter of Buhi through a resolution passed by the Sangguniang Bayan in recognition of their selfless contribution to the welfare and development of the Buhinon.
