Text Box: The Katzenjammers (KJS) Fraternity of Buhi marked its 47th year anniversary last May 27 in colorful activities characteristics of the occasion.   Founded in 1957, the KJS Fraternity is the oldest of the socio-civic organizations active in the municipality. Its members are professionals in their own fields of endeavors and go home to Buhi annually for their after-fiesta KJS affair.   Guesting this year’s Anniversary Ball was honorable Herejah Lydia Eclar-Manabilang, Mayor of Bumbaran, Lanao del Sur. Lydia is a Buhinon married to Mastura Manabilang, a scion of great Muslim Maranao hero. She is now on her third term as the town executive of that Lanao del Sur town.   A plaque of Recognition was also given to another Buhinon who attained international stature in painting and is considered as the Filipino Master of Impressionism. Roger San Miguel is from San Buena of Buhi based in Manila but his art exhibits took him to as far as America, Canada, Australia and all the other cities of the world.   The KJS “Pabayle” in the evening of the occasion featured the musical services of Lagrimas Band of Nabua, The Banewing-Quilban-Buhi All Star Selection and the Archangel Band of Legaspi City owned and managed by Engr. Castaneda of DPWH.   The affair was astounded by the recognition of Mrs. KJS 2004 Angie Sadang-Pangilinan and Ms. KJS 2004 Jennifer Heather Infante. Jennifer was the daughter of Hermi Infante, youngest sister of Serafin Infante.   Lake Buhi Resort owner Cyrus Obsuna bring with him the Internationally renowned Dance Sports champions of Cebu which shows bombastic ballroom dances during the program.   The incumbent president of the KJS is Efren Afante who is also based in New Mexico, USA
