Hello! It's been such a long time since I last updated my webpage! Yes, school and work have been very demanding and time-consuming. All in all, my efforts have been met with some success in my courses, so that's good! Okay, just because this page starts off sounding so happy, that doesn't mean that I don't have something to bitch about...During the summer, I acquired a part-time job in the retail industry (yay...), and so every time I go to work, I'm pretty much interacting with all sorts of people. Some of my customers are really nice and talkative, while others don't even reply to my greetings. There are some other ones who are so rotten that they give me a hard time for absolutely no reason at all. For instance, on Boxing Day, I was asking a customer politely if they were looking at some sweaters on top of the rack, since I have been instructed to keep everything secured on the racks to minimize the chance of losing stock due to shoplifting. Do you know how this customer replied? It was a short and simple, but still f*cking BITCHY, "What!" Excuse me! I only work here, not to be yelled at by you, but to help you and all the other customers! Her face was hideous when she was "What!"-ing me, and that is not a surprise, because anyone who is as inconsiderate and stupid as she is does not deserve any beauty whatsoever, as it has become obvious to you by now that she definitely lacks inner-beauty. Okay, let's do this person justice by assuming that they have been having a really bad day, and her past experiences with sales reps have not been that great. All I ask is that customers treat sales reps with a common courtesy that they show towards other strangers, because I work my ass off trying make my customers happy and feel welcomed in my store. If customers would show sales reps some much-deserved respect, then that would make our jobs much easier to cope with, because life is not as easy as some people believe it to be for sales reps. We have to do more than making people buy things (which does not happen in my store, we SUGGEST ideas according to each customer's preference and needs), and it is about time that our efforts are recognized and appreciated!
