NOTE FOR ELIJAH:
  His father died when he was 4 and his mother when he was 9.  Elijah lived with
  Elisah Shaw who was appointed his guardian until he was 14.  At that time
  he went to live with his half-brother, Isaac, in Hatfield, MA.  His wife died 
  in St. Louis in 1893 and Elijah died at the home of the eldest son in St. Louis.

   41.        Clark Hamilton Sampson was born in 1850 in Hatfield MA and died in 1904
              in St. Louis, MO.  He married Mary F. Ryer (I have her genealogy)
              in 1848, daughter of George RYER and Caroline COOK.

          i.  Helen Hamilton Sampson born 1886 in St. Louis, MO and died 12/25/1969 in 
          St. Louis, MO.

NOTES FOR CLARK:
  Clark was born in 1850 in Hatfield, MA and moved with his family to Northhampton.
  He was a resident of New York City from 1862 to 1879 when he moved to St. Louis
  to engage in merchandizing.  Clark was prominent in St. Louis commercial life.
  He was persident of Corticelli Silk Company, Colonial Trust Company and a member
  of the Sons of the American Revolution and the Society of Colonial Wars.
  In addition he was one of the founders of the Mercantile Club, President of the St. Louis Exposition, Vice-President of Merchants' Exchange and 
  one of the directors of the Lindell Avenue Methodist-Eposcopal Church.

   44.        Helen Hamilton Sampson was born in 1886 in St. Louis, MO and died 
              12/25/1969 in St. Louis, MO.  She married Melville Beardslee Hall,
              son of Lester HALL and Elizabeth BEARDSLEE.

          i.  Melville Hamilton (Mike) Hall born in 1915 in St. Louis, MO; died 1966 St. Louis.  
              He married Anna Laurie FORDER.
         ii.  Marjorie Sampson Hall born 1919.  She married Art WILLIAMS.
        iii.  Clark Sampson Hall born 1921.  He married Norma ?.
         iv.  Helen Caroline (Tiny) Hall born 1922.  She married Thomas HAWKIN.

   48.        Melville Hamilton (Mike) Hall was born in 1915 in St. Louis, MO. and died
              in 1966 in St. Louis, MO.  He married (1) Annie Laurie Forder about 1937 and 
              (2)Bonnie Golightly about 1965. Annie Laurie was the daughter of 
              William FORDER and Annie LAURIE.

          i.  Elizabeth Laurie Hall born 4/19/1939 in St. Louis, MO.  She married Gary F. COLEMAN.
         ii.  Carver Forder Hall born 11/22/1942 in St. Louis Mo.  He married Mary Ellen Ernst.
