Comments = Man i dont know what it is wiht u people. Baz Lurhman's Romeo + Juliet is a GREAT movie. Given some of the acting is off, but leguazamo is awesome in that movie (okay that doesnt really matter). Also the dialogue idea is perfect. The little things he does with it, the "longsword" is genius. The whole dialogue thing was done to make the veiwer feel like they are NOT in the movie unlike other movies do. (bout to go into big Baz Lurhman speech) ahem...
take for example, moulin rouge. Baz takes the same idea of seperating the audience by having the movie break out into song every once in a while. he does not want u to feel like this is just like any other movie. He wants it to be different and unique. Just the fact that people still talk about it is justification that it did work. THe experience was odd, unique, uncomfortable.... simply put.... memorable. And that is what he is goin for.
