| welcome to my page about work. here you will find a selection of my work, mostly law essays and other stuff that i wrote. none of it is guaranteed to be interesting, but its definitely not boring. | 1. Criminal Procedure and Evidence, Essay 1. Confessions This is my first CPE essay, to be honest, I think its pretty sub standard, not really very much substance to it. I also seem to be a bit unclear as to what S.58 of PACE covers, in relation to Code C, and its provisions. |
| 2. International Law, Essay 1. Hierarchy of sources of law under Art.38 of Statute of ICJ This essay is being put up before I've had it back. Again, I think I am a bit un sure on the issues. The essay title was slightly difficult, though I particularly found the issues of substantive law challenging. I think I lacked a really detailed understanding of the way the sources operate, and may have missed the point of the question. |
| 3. Criminal Law, Essay. Difference between Diminshed Responsibilty and Insanity I did this in my first year, and have no recollection of what grade I obtained. It was probably a 2.1, but not a very convincing one. I have to say though, criminal was one of the subjects I really enjoyed in my first year, both because of the law itself, and my supervisor, Professor Spencer, who really made criminal interesting- Im a bit ashamed of not having done any better in my tripos actually. |
| 4. Tort, Essay. Something to do with duty of care. Tort, the bane of my law degree. The subject I found most confusing, and difficult, though I probably didnt make it any easier through my lack of work and enthusiasm. I really don't remember what the essay is about, but its probably negligence or duty of care.. what in tort isnt? |
