KS Klassic Ponies
The Papillon is a descendant of the original Continental Toy Spaniel that had a drop ear.
It is often called the "Butterfly Dog" for it's fringed ears that look like butterfly wings.
Papillon (Pappy-Yon) is the French word for "butterfly",
The drop ear varity is called the Phalene and part of the Papillon registry.
Very intellegent, lively little dogs that are generally not nervous or yappy.
They excel in showing, agility and obedience trails.
Wonderful silky coats with no undercoat, so there is a minimal of shedding.
Friendly, loving and very easy to train with a strong desire to please.
Papillons have also been used for therapy, hearing impaired and tracking.
Average height 8" - 12" at the shoulder blade weighting 3 and 9 pounds.
(11" is a fault and 12" disqualification in the show ring)
Papillons come in all sorts of color and markings each being it's own unique pattern.
For the
show ring, they are always parti-color or white with patches of colors
of black, tan, red, tricolor, sable and orange.
Color should extend over both eyes and ears or it is considered mis-marked.
A symmetrical white blaze and noseband are preferred on the face
but not essential for winning.
OK, so this isn't exactly a show pose!  But aren't I cute!!!
"Petey"
WOW!  Just isn't enough I can say about "Petey"!
He has won my heart 100%.
He has the very best disposition, a very loving, obedient, gentle Papillon.
He isn't a yapper and he isn't hyper -
We've been there, done that!
He has a wonderful coat that sheds very little and stays very clean.
Just look at those EARS!
If you see a pix of Petey on another website, we did not give permission nor do we approve.
BOYS!  Did you know that if a boy is neutered at a very early age, he will not lift his leg?
He will be just as great a pet as a female or even better!
If you purchase a little boy from us, we can have him neutered at 9 weeks for you.
Neuter fee: $95

We DO NOT place puppies in Pet Shops or Puppy Mills!
Our puppies are raised in a loving home and we place likewise.

All pictures on this website are copywrite and not to be used without our permission.

2008 American Champion!
After being told by many that Petey just had to much color, not enough blaze and was to tall
(even thou correct  in the Papillon Standard!)
we decide to stop showing Petey when he seemed to stop placing and thought it must be true.
Then we were paid a visit by Kathy Taylor of Starfleet Papillons in NM, a reputable breeder & handler of Papillons for 15 years.
She told us we were told very wrong, that Petey was beautiful with the conformation, proper coat and moved very nicely!
We sent Petey out to the shows wtith Kathy . . . . .
Two show locations later: 1 RW, 2 pts, a single & 4 BOB w/ a Major winning over 2 Specials
Petey finished his AKC Championship in flying colors!

Geocities is closing!
Our new website is under construction
it will be:

Missy was retired from the show ring after she backed away from the Judges at 3 shows.
She just didn't like showing.
We believe a dog needs to like showing, instead of dragging it around the ring.
Since having a litter of pups, Missy has really mature mentally.
But Only time will tell . . . . .
