Hi, I wanted to add a little note about me and your puppy. So that you do not feel slighted or ignored when inquiring about a puppy and so that I do remember to tell you some important things you should know about your puppy...please be advised of the following:

....I have a full time job an hour away from home and my husband does as well --working different hours than I do. I have 2  daughters, both in school and both with part time jobs and sports (enough said). Our extended families live out of state where we try to visit when we are all 4 together at once. Breeding mini dachshunds has been my hobby for several years. However, it is just that "a
HOBBY" I enjoy it tremendously, I'm always learning and never pretend to be an expert but will always try to answer any questions you have or point you in the right direction for an answer. Breeding is NOT my job nor is it a business.  For the most part, we keep our prices down & pretty much the same year round.
I am not on the computer daily and at times in warmer weather emails may be answered much more slowly. I do try to catch them all up weekly as well as try to take new pictures of puppies weekly.
Time needed to care for my family, dogs and home will come before "showing puppies" which will only be done on my schedule. We live some distance outside of Murfreesboro Tn and through the week, my daughter or myself can usually bring a puppy of your choice into Murfreesboro to meet you. At this time, we ask that all "puppy visits" to our home be limited to our available weekends ONLY. (We do understand sometimes there are special circumstances and will try to work with individuals so please feel free to ask...just understand if we can not). We require only a small deposit of $50 to hold a puppy of your choice until it is ready.
Because I do not operate a business...
I do reserve the right to refuse sale of any puppy to anyone for any reason.
Registration applications will be offered only on those puppies listed on our web site as CKC or AKC. On occasion, especially with AKC I may have to mail you the application after you pick up your puppy. You will be required to pick a name for your puppy and mail the application and fees to the kennel club to recieve final registration. All of our adults have CKC registration and Most all also have AKC registration. Both are good kennel clubs and offer the same events. Most of my dogs are in the 7-10 pound range. I have 2 that are 12 pounds (within the weight limit for minis who I breed to a 6 pound stud mostly) and I have a few 6 and 6.5 pounds.
All puppies are given age appropriate vaccines protecting against distemper, parainfluenza, parvovirus, coronavirus and hepatitis (Duramune Max 5 is most often our brand of choice). You will be given a COPY of this information, if you do not recieve it ASK for it! Please be advised that your puppy will not reach it's maximun immunity until 16 weeks of age and 3-4 vaccines. Every effort on YOUR part must be taken to limit his risk of exposure to canine disease until this time.
Your puppy will be eating Iams Puppy Food (dry in a yellow bag) unless you are told otherwise and/or given another brand of food with your puppy. Any good quality dry puppy food will be acceptable for your new puppy.
Puppies will be dewormed with Nemex II and/or Strongid paste. While in our kennel environment, your puppy has had a higher risk of exposure to intestinal parasites and we advise that you request one more deworming at your puppies first vet visit as a precaution. You should plan this visit the first few days you have your new puppy and within the time frame of your health warranty.
Hopefully this covers some of the questions and concerns you may have....if not just send an email. There is alot of good info on the web about crate training, healthcare, bringing home a first time puppy or introducing a new puppy to an established one....etc....anything you could dream of asking.
Thanks and have fun searching for your new puppy!

p.s. Because I have this web page....at times friends and family members think I have nothing to do...ha ha...so they ask that I also add their available puppies to this page. So don't be surprised at the "funny looking dachshunds" you may find on here at times that look more like yorkshire terriers, french bulldogs, cavalier king charles spaniels...etc...). It's fun to have the other puppies visit at times! Most of the time their phone numbers and or emails are listed with their pictures. I'm getting more knowledgable with some of their breeds but I'm NO good at poodle colors!!! ha

Thanks for reading this through!
