Issabella Name: TTG's Issabella Age: Unknown Gender: Female Coat Color: Ruby Eyed White I got Issabella in the early summer of '03! The reason was I had another gerbil, Carly (Who Just Passed Away), that needed a companion. So we went all over Washington State searching for a petstore that had gerbils (At the time I wasn't aware of any Washington Breeders). Finally I found one (luckily it was just down the block) that had *1* available gerbil! I rushed down with my mom and ran to the 'gerbil room' and peeked into the cage. There was no gerbil to be seen =\ I was so upset. Some one had purchased her before I got there. So I thought. A couple secounds later a beautiful white gerbil (who was a little dirty) popped out of a rock cave. She must have bin sleeping in there, I forgot to look in the house, lol. I picked her up, and she didnt even bite! =D I told my mom this is the one! I could NOT leave her there! I bought her and then brought her home. To make a story thats getting long short, Carly and Issabella didn't care for eachother at all (yes with the split cage method!). I tried again and then tried again with one of my friends gerbils who was also alone. Issabella since her life at the petstore has remained on her own and now actually has CLEAN bedding (which of course gets a little dirty & messy but is cleaned up) and she now has a sleek white coat! I have concluded that Issabella is not a gerbil-lover and she seems fine with it =) Of course it would be TONS better if she had a cage-mate!
