The bore rule changed from 45 to 60.
And you CAN angle mill your heads to get the compression to 12:1
Tire Rule:
There will be a tire limit per night when the track tire compound is decided.

1) BODIES
A) All bodies must be stock appearing steel, fiberglass, or aluminum
replicas
of 1990 or later American made four passenger hardtops. No wedge type
bodies
or noses. Rear tail light panel must be closed. No kevlar or carbon
fiber
panels allowed. Two (2) Roof Vanes (one on each side), painted the
same
color as the roof and a maximum of 1" (one inch) high, are permitted
subject
to approval by the TIOGA Tech Staff. (Not considered into the roof
height
measurement)
Any additional vanes, air dams, flared skits, or other added devices or
sheet
metal to divert or direct airflow are not permitted on the body.
"Dirt"
noses not allowed. The Five Star template installation buide for short
track
style bodies may be the standard used.
B) All cares must have a minimum of 104" wheelbase.
C) Minimum allowable roof height is 46" measured 10" back from the
center of
the windshield with the drive in the car, and 6" forward from the rear
window
top lip shall be no less than 44".
Heights taken with driver in the car in normal sitting postion.
D) Minimum allowable ground clearance is 4" measured from the frame to
the
ground. No ballast shall be lower than frame rails. No under body
ground
effects. Front air dam 4" from ground minimum. Rockers and door
panels may
be 3" from ground minimum. Heights taken with the drive in car in
normal
sitting position. Car race ready.
E) Cars must have full windshields constructed of 1/8" lexan material.
Rear
windows must also be 1/8" lexan. Windshield and rear window must use
metal
braces inside to prevent any deflection.
F) Rear quarter windows of 1/8" lexan may be used. Vents allowed with
Tech
approval.
G) No side windows or panels. Flat vent windows permitted. Not longer
than
20" at bottom of window. Rest of window opening must be unobstructed
except
for window net. Opening 26" minimum. Air ducts permitted in vent
windows.
H) All cars must have stock appearing bumpers front and rear and may be
reinforced. No outside bumper bracing permitted. All cars must have
hooks
for towing front and rear. May be under hood and trunk. Hood must
display
Brand Logo in front center. Rear of car must display Brand Logo in
center
location either on bumper or above including trunk if legible.
I) A non-adjustable spoiler must be attached to the rear of car. All
cars
will be allowed to use a rear spoiler not exceeding 5 inches in height
and
not more than 60 inches in width as measured across the back surface
and must
be attached to and centered on the rear of the car. Spoilers must be
solid
1/8 inch metal or 1/4 inch polycarbonate glass and control the flow of
air
over one (1) surface only. No ruders, side inclosures, lips, bends, or
forward mounting brackets are allowed. Spoiler must follow contour of
rear
of car. Maximum height of top of spoiler not texceed 40" from ground
and not
to be over 6" high from trunk lid. Spoiler is allowed to be 60" wide
maximum
and not to protrude beyond either side of body.
J) No letters or three digit numbers. Numbers must be minimum 18" high
and
3" wide in contrasting color of car on both doors and roof facing
grandstand.
A 6" x 1" number on upper- most right corner of windshield and also on
right
rear tail light cover. No metallic numbers.
K) Any misappropriate signage will be removed before car allowed on
track.
L) Air cleaners must remain under hood. Holes in hood and scoops not
permitted. Center of hood may be raised 3" x 20" with air opening in
rear of
hoods may have a 3" x 20" opening in rear of hood covered with screen
and
painted hood color. Holes or openings may vary in size, but not to
exceed 60
sq. inches. Hoods must maintain original closed position at all times.
M) One 1" x 1" rub rail permitted. Must be flush with body, welded or
pinned
to cage and near centerline with rear axle. Ends must be cut at
45-degree
angle, capped and ground smooth. Slight variations allowed. Must meet
Tech
approval.
N) Deck lid may be hinged or pinned or both.
O) Headlight and taillights must be covered. Bumper covers must remain
intact.
P) Full size bodies only. Must meet Tech approval.
2) CHASSIS
A) Any type frame construction permitted. Fabricated frame must be
minimum
steel box tubing.
2" x 3" x .083" steel box - clips
2" x 3" x .120" steel box - center section
Front and rear clips must be centered to rear center section and
engine.
Front clip may or may not be passenger car.
B) Any safely mounted suspension permitted front and rear.
C) Engine located with front most plug not to exceed 2" setback from
center
of ball joint for GM cars. Ford and Dodge engines allowed 4" setback
from
front most plug from center ball joint. Engine must be centered in
frame or
on center of front wheels +/- ½".
D) One shock per wheel - $200.00 per shock price limit.
E) Maximum allowable tread width - 80" outside tire to outside tire.
F) Minimum wheel base - 104" left and right.
G) Spindles must be steel. Safety hubs required.
H) Must have 4 wheel brakes. Disc brakes must use steel rotors.
Minimum
.810".
3) DRIVE TRAIN
A) Any clutch, any size. No dog type clutches.
B) Any flywheel with starter ring. No carbon fiber or titanium drive
train
parts or fasteners. Must be bolted to and turn positive with crank
shaft.
C) Transmission - Production 3 or 4 speed. Gears must be stock. Must
have 2
working forward, 1 reverse. Final drive ratio 1:1. Manual shifting
linkage
only. No assisting shifting (i.e. springs, electric, hydraulic) No
Jerico
type. No automatics or semi-automatics. No 5 speeds or in-out.
D) Steel or aluminum drive stafts. No carbon fiber. Must have steel
guards
encasing shaft 6" from front. 6" from rear. Minimum 0.25" x 1.5"
loops.
Shaft must be painted white.
E) Steel bell housing recommended.
F) Any safely mounted rear end may be used. Must have floater of
safety
hubs. No independent, cambered or locker type permitted. No electric,
electronic or hydraulic devices allowed.
G) All cars must have four wheel brakes in working order. Any
aftermarket
brake component may be used. Steel rotors only. Minimum .810".
4) WHEELS AND TIRES
A) 10" wide steel wheels, measured bead to bead, only. No aluminum or
magnesium wheels allowed.
B) Tioga Track Tire.
C) No tire softening compound of any kind may be used. Violations
will
result in disqualification and loss of points and purse for the race
meet. A
fine will also be established and posted.
5) ENGINES
A) Only V-8 engines allowed from manufactures GM, Ford, Mopar. (Cast
iron)
B) Engine displacement/displacement will be as follows:
1) General Motors: 350 cubic inch displacement OEM block plus a maximum
of .045 inch overbore per cylinder.
2) Ford: 351 cubic inch displacement OEM block plus a maximum of .040
inch overbore per cylinder.
3) Chrysler Corp: 340 or 360 cubic inch displacement OEM block plus a
maximum of .030 inch overbore per cylinder. 355 cubic inch displacement
Chrysler engines are noteligible.
****THESE OVERBORE SIZES ARE ABSOLUTE SIZES***
C) Cylinder heads:
1) Limited to two valves per cylinder. No aluminum. No flow work.
No hand grinding or polishing anywhere on heads. Heads checked
with ball gauge. .787" intake. .531" exhaust.
An 12:1 compression is absolute maximum as measured by whistler.
2) Valves must be identical in appearance and construction as OEM
valves.
Steel valves
and springs only. May use titanium retainers and keepers. Any
spring
allowed.
3) Roller rocker arms allowed.
4) No shaft rockers except Mopar.
5) Stud girdles allowed.
6) Heads no allowed - Ford, Cleveland.
Chevrolet - 18 degree, bow tie like head - Australian
origin.
General Motors - any cast iron head - can not exceed maximum valve size
and must be GM valve angle.
Ford Motor Co. - any cast iron head - can not exceed maximum valve size
and must be Ford angles.
Chrysler Corp. - any cast iron head - can not exceed maximum valve size
and must be Chrysler valve angle.
7) Maximum valve size at face of valve

D) Stock stroke crankshaft for engine block used only. Steel connecting
rods required. No strokers allowed. (For example: 400 Chevy crank in 350
CID block or Ford 351 crank in 302 CID block not permitted.) Titanium
crankshafts not permitted. Minimum crankshaft weight of 46 pounds.
E) Pistons flat top 3 rings only, must use all 3 rings. No part of the
piston may protrude above the deck of the block.
F) Flat tappet camshafts only. No roller cams. Must use OEM type
lifter.
G) Intake manifold:
1) Edelbrock performer or performer RPM and must be so stamped.
2) Manifold may not be modified, painted, polished or coated.
3) Gaskets not to exceed .075".
4) Front 2 cap screws on right side of intake must be drilled through
head of hex for track seal.
5) No air gap intakes allowed.
H) Carburetor limited to 1 stock 4412 Holley 500 CFM two barrel. No
alterations allowed except the removal of the choke plate. Carburetor
must be mounted in stock configuration. One spacer adapter, maximum 1"
thick.
I) Oil System - Wet type only. Oil must be contained in pan at bottom
of engine only. May use external pump. May use aqua-sump but must be
located under hood. Coolers permitted but not near or in driver compartment.
Approval by Tech inspector.
J) Dry sumps allowed. Car must weigh 50 pounds more after race.
K) All cars must be equipped with working starter.
L) No electric fuel pumps allowed.
M) Any battery operated ignition system allowed. All wiring associated
with the ignition system must be in full view and exposed at all times.
6) FUEL
A) Cells are mandatory and must be securely mounted in a 1" square
tubing frame centered between frame rails. Cell must have 8" ground clearance
with driver in position and race ready.
B) Check ball required.
C) Only approved racing gasoline allowed. No alcohol, nitrous oxide,
or any other fuel additives may be used. Fuel will be checked.
D) A fuel shutoff valve must be located within drivers reach.
E) 22 gallon maximum capacity.
F) One mechanical fuel pump only.
7) EXHAUST
A) Any steel header except no 180-degree header.
B) Any muffler - required, must meet 87dB. Approval
C) Must exit behind driver.
D) May not route through drivers compartment.
8) WEIGHTS
A) Cars will be weighted before feature with driver sitting in upright
position in seat. Helmet on or on lap, hands on steering wheel. Must
weigh 2,900- wet sump, 2,950 - dry sump. Maximum left side weight 56%.
B) Cars may be spot checked after feature also.
C)All weights must be solid bars and securely mounted to chassis. No
weight in driver compartment. Weights will be painted white with car number
on each weight.
D) No mechanical or electric devices for shifting weight will be
permitted. No hydraulic weight shifting devices are permitted at any time. No
weight adjusters are permitted during race. No shifting of any weight such as
water, lead, mercury, etc. by means at any time.
E) Cars participating driver must sit in an upright position in seat,
with helmet on or on lap, hands on steering wheel, car race ready for all
weights, heights, and measurements.
9) HEIGHTS - MEASUREMENTS
A)Frame rails - 4" minimum.
B) Spoiler - 5" maximum, 40" ground to top of spoiler maximum.
C) Roof - 46" - 10" from windshield minimum. 44" - 6" forward of rear
window minimum.
D) Side panels - 3" from ground minimum.
E) Front air dam - 4" from ground minimum.
F) Roof vanes - 1" high maximum.
G) Crank height - 10" on center minimum.
H) Tread - 70" center to center of tread maximum.
I) Wheelbase - 104" minimum.
J) Fuel cell - 8" from ground minimum.
K) Engine setback - 2" front most plug. Ball joint centered in frame
+/- ½" maximum.
L) Brake rotor - .810 minimum steel.
M)Numbers (3) - 18" x 3" minimum (6" x 1" minimum)
N)Air intake - 3" x 20" maximum.
O) Side vents or ducts - 6" x 11" maximum.
P) Drive shaft hoop - 0.25" x 1.5" minimum.
Q) Window openings - 26" minimum.

10) DRIVERS COMPARTMENT AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT
A) All cars must have safe cage, constructed of 1.75" OD, .095 wall
steel tubing. The base of the upright members must be solidly welded to the
frame.
1) Door bars - curved (4) minimum with (2) rows of vertical spacer
bars.
2) A diagonal bar in main frame (back of driver's head to right frame
and right side hoop)
3) Dashboard bar.
4) A diagonal or centerline bar in top halo.
5) Highly recommended: a drivers bar vertically alongside driver from
halo to left side of frame.
6) 2 vent window braces "A" pillar.
7) Gussets required.
8) All bars must be padded in driver's section.
B) Approved aluminum racing seat and four-point harness properly
mounted to the cage is mandatory. Crotch belt is recommended. Belts must be
dated no more than 3 years old. Minimum 3" belt harnesses are mandatory.
C)All cars must have an approved window net properly installed in the
left front window opening and must have a quick release. No string type
nets allowed. A right side sprint net recommended. Driver's helmet to have
SNELL #, not to exceed 4 years old.
D) All cars must have an ignition kill switch and a fire extinguisher
located within reach of the driver, when strapped in seat.
E) All cars must be equipped with quick release steering wheel. Center
of wheel must be padded.
F) Battery must be mounted securely outside of the driver's compartment,
protected by a non-conductive cover.
G) Interior of car must be completely enclosed in respect to engine
compartment, track surface, tires, and rear fuel cell compartment. All
interior panels must be minimum .040" thick steel or aluminum.
H) A full width dash required. Top area from windshield to vertical
plane of
dash must be enclosed. Gauges mounted on vertical panel.
I) Driver
1) Fire retardant race suit required.
2) Highly recommended (fire retardant)

d) neck collar
3) Suggested
a) eye protection
b) head supports on seats
4) A safe racing environment is top priority at Tioga.
11) COOLING SYSTEM
A) Any radiator allowed. Must be under hood. Overflow catch tank
under hood.
B) Absolutely no anti-freeze allowed. Liquid cool permitted.
C) Any OEM type water pump allowed.
12) COMMUNICATION
A) Radios are permitted. The frequency must be given to the track when
the car is registered. Frequencies will be monitored by the track for
abuse. Tioga will have the authority to disqualify any team and/or not allow
radios in any car/team found abusing the use and intent of radios.
13) MISCELLANEOUS
No metallic numbers
Any illegal parts must be surrendered at the time of inspection.
Consequences will follow if not adhered to.
Air ducts 6" x 11" maximum.
4 Tire limit per night. Car must start feature on tires run during the
heat.
No device considered traction control allowed.
NOTE: Race procedures, inspectors, officials and safety regulations will
be governed by Tioga Motorsports Park in the best interest of the sport.
