The Sun is at his highest now, and the business of life is carrying on at an amazing pace. At the Summer Solstice, the days are at their longest. Warm breezes and accommodating weather allow us to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family. This is the time of the year when the Sun steps into Cancer, the Moon’s sign. As the ruler of home, emotions, family and what one cherishes, it’s important to pay attention to the Moon now- and to the concept of cycles in general. The fruits of our efforts are everywhere, as crops continue to grow and farmers look forward to their harvests. This is also the month when many couples decide to marry, forging a permanent bond akin to that of the God and the Goddess, eternal partners in the dance of life. Take a moment at this potent time of the year to look around you, both at the Earth Mother and at the point you’ve reached in your cycle of life. What gifts has she presented? What gifts have you given back? The full potential of the life force is obvious now to one and all. Enjoy the celebration.
