The changed concept of exhibiting wild animals in cramped
cages to that of vast, natural and simulted enclosures has established the
Zoological Parks world over as centres of Wildlife conservation and environmental
education in addition to research and recreation. The Andhra Pradesh Forest
Department which has two of India's best Zoos to its credit at Hyderabad and
Vishakapatnam, has setup its third venture at Tirupati.
