The library began its computerisation from 1994 with a grant of Rs.5,00,000 from HDFC. There after it received a grant of Rs.6,50,000 fromINFLIBNET of UGC in 1996-97 and recurring grant of Rs.1.17 lakhs. This has facilitated library to go for computerisation of the library with adequate computer hardware and software facilities. System for library information management (SLIM) version 3.0, an integrated software used for automating in-house activities with powerful search and retrieval capabilities.

INFLIBNET centre has been involved in creating the databases of holdings of all the university libraries in India with an ultimate objective of having effective and efficient network of universities for facilitating academic and research activities. INFLIBNET has been kind enough to select this library under its programme and provided necessary financial assistance that provided impetus to bring this library on the map of INFLIBNET. TISS library has submitted its holdings database of books, journals and thesis to the INFLIBNET.
