Scouting: Power Forward with excellent 2 way skills.. excellent breakaway speed especially for a guy listed at 6'3 210.. Very hard to knock off the puck.. Very accurate, hard wrist shot can pick the top corners.. excellent passer who sees the ice well, could improve his decision making in what guy to pass it to.. His excellent puckhandling makes it even more difficult to get the puck away from him.. Very Hockey smart player.. Extremely useful on the penalty kill he has always got his stick in a passing lane.. Picks off oppositions beutiful passes.. Is very dangerous on the penalty kill because he will pick off any bad pass and use his speed to create scoring chances.. Solid forechecker with a good work ethic.. Very strong kid although he must use it more when driving to the net..Powerful hitter.. Is playing a little tenative since having his jaw broken earlier in the season.. Not unlike a boxer who's been knocked out.. With some good coaching this could be improved.. I don't see how anyone could pass him up thinking of the powerforward he could develop into. Once he becomes stronger and more confident should be a force.. |
