Scouting: A good alround player who has some offensive talent. Fast at top speeds, it takes John a while to accelerate into his top speeds. Is agile and good skating through traffic. Has good puckcontrol. Has a nice pass as well as a hard wrist shot. Will sometimes skate with his head down through the neutral zone. Has a good nose for the net and always is in search of rebounds. Has a hard working style, always forechecking. Is a little soft but isn't affected by the rough stuff, keeps playing his game. Excellent defensive awareness, gives a good effort in his own zone and is looked upon to kill penalty's as well. |
