Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

As you no doubt have heard, the United States has been the victim of
terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in
Washington, D.C., and possibly other sites as well.  The White House,
Capitol, and other federal buildings have been evacuated.  The FAA has
grounded all aircraft nationwide.

Please join us in prayer.  Pray that all other attacks would be foreseen
and avoided.  Pray for the leaders who are analyzing the situation and
crafting a response.

Offer a prayer for those who are injured, for those attempting rescue,
and for those waiting to hear of the well-being of their loved ones.

We ask you to pray also for the terrorist groups responsible for the
attacks.  Pray that love and truth will gain a foothold, that God will
draw them to himself, forever changing their hearts.

In our darkest moments, we can say with David, "I lift my eyes to the
hills -- where does my help come from?  My help comes from the Lord, the
Maker of heaven and earth" (Psalm 121:1).

Please forward this to others who would be interested.

Sincerely,

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Tuesday morning marked a tragic set of events affecting our entire
nation. In the wake of such an event, many are looking for answers, but
also hope. It is this void that causes many to turn to their faith and
to find solace in uniting together with others to pray and share the
overwhelming task of picking up the pieces.

This Saturday, Christians around the world will gather for an
unprecedented national prayer event led by some of America's most
respected Christian leaders.  The event, America Prays, is a
one-and-a-half hour time of prayer, support, hope, and direction.

America Prays will be led by Christian leaders Bruce Wilkinson, speaker and author of "The Prayer of Jabez," John C. Maxwell, leadership authority and author of "The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership" and Max Lucado, pastor and author of "Grace for the Moment," with special messages by James and Shirley Dobson of Focus on the Family and Franklin Graham, CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelical Association.  America Prays is expected to be the largest-ever prayer vigil in the country, in response to the recent terrorist attacks.

We at Crosswalk.com are working hard to bring this event to as many people around the world as possible.  At this moment, we're trying to finalize the details for a live online broadcast of the event, as well as chat events with featured guests, and ongoing forum discussions.

Please pray that all the details will fall into place, and check our
site throughout the day on Friday, September 14, for updated
information:

The America Prays vigil will be available at no cost to churches who
wish to connect to the broadcast using their DishNetwork satellite dish. More than 1,000 churches will participate in this manner, uniting over 140,000 people from various denominations nationwide.  If your church would like to connect to the broadcast, go to
http://www.injoy.com/americaprays for details and instructions.

"It is a privilege to be a part of this event where God can touch lives
at such a time of need," says Scott Fehrenbacher, president and CEO of Crosswalk.com, Inc.
