ROUGH RIDERS
Original airdate: 1997
Theodore Roosevelt wanted to create "the wildest bad-cat regiment since the Mongols rode the Steppes." Volunteers from all walks of life formed 'Teddy's Terror," the 1st US Volunteer Cavalry Regiment. Polo players and thieves. Privileged and poor. Ivy League athletes and leather-tough cowpokes. All had a devotion to duty and unsurpassed riding skills. But fate would force the Rough Riders to fight on foot instead of horseback.
Benjamin Franklin "B.F." Goodrich (played by Titus Welliver) Named after his father, who served as a surgeon in the Civil War and then founded a lucrative rubber business that initially manufactured fire hoses and billiard cushions, young B.F. Goodrich joined the ranks of the Rough Riders to seek his own glory in war.
