The Wriggling clown.
Clown project  This "Clown", or Toy Puppet, works best when held in hand, by the string, and continually shaken to give the "Wriggling" effect.   When not in use, it can be hung up as a decoration, but its real "Funny" effect depends on induced movement.

The Clown is made up of six 'flat' sections:

the head, the body, the two hands and the two feet;
and five "Worm Weave" sections:
the neck, the two arms and the two legs.
As I assume that, if you are interested in this project, then you have a certain amount of practice, I am not giving templates for the face, hands and feet.   The demonstration model in the photo to the left was done free-hand and quickly; no doubt you can make neater drawings.

Note that the head, here, is made up of three sections glued together.
Also, it is best to attach the string to the top of the clown's hat rather than to the neck: this keeps the head upright.

Worm pleatTo the right is a picture of the "Worm Weave", which normally most children know how to do.   This consists of two strips of paper (decide upon the length by trying it out for yourself) placed at right anges to each other and alternately folded one on top of the other.
