It's a long time before you nod cautiously. What Thomas is saying does, unbelievably, seem to make sense. Certainly agreeing to believe him seems like your best choice for the moment.
The other man's expression floods with relief and that convinces you more than words that he does believe part if not all of what he's telling you.
"I wont touch the waistcoat." You promise. "And I'll help you if I can but I'm not going to stay locked in here!" You look around the small interview room with distaste. "If I'm going to believe you, I'm not going to be your prisoner."
Thomas smiles.
"Of course not." He nods at the CCTV camera above your head and behind him the door begins to swing open. "What's your name?" He asks.
"Jay." You tell him cautiously, still not quite ready to share your family name with a man you only half trust. He nods.
"Come on then, Jay." Thomas says. "We'd better get to the control room."
