Overcome by the gases, you lie. Too disorientated to teleport, too shaken to move.
Below you the rock and gas cloud is angered by its long confinement, pressurized by the narrow fissure it forces wide open in its wake. It's no more than a few metres below you now and no more than a second has passed since you pushed at the vent. It seems like a lifetime.
[Get the others clear, TIM.] You whisper.
And then the side of the mountain blows out from beneath you as the angry rock knows freedom for the first time in millennia.
