On 10th August 2003 I was fortunate to be able to participate in a visit to the abandoned London Underground Railway station 'Wood Lane' with the railway enthusiast group Cravens Heritage Trains. As some of you may know my initial interest in this station results from its use in filming the 1970's television programme The Tomorrow People and it is with reference to that programme that I describe the visit.
Note: These pages only describe my visit to the station. For a detailed discussion of how Wood Lane features in 'The Tomorrow People' and some photo-comparisons with the series, I strongly recommend Shaun Hately's excellent 'Planetary Archaeology' pages at 'The Lab'.
