Sr. Weyrling ![]() Comadra stretched and rubber her eyes. She patted her blue firelizard’s head and then got out of bed. The blue chirped and flapped to her shoulder slowly. “Sauri you can’t sit there I have to get dressed and take Xellth down to the feeding grounds.” The blue chirped again and flew to the bedpost where he clung to it. “Don’t you dare put any claw marks into that wood Sauri, ![]() They circled down to the hunting grounds and as soon as Comadra slid down from her lifemate’s shoulders she was off again, chasing after a fairly large buck. The buck turned sharply and Xellth bugled out in frustration. She hissed and then went after a rather fat doe. She grabbed the animal in her claws and took off to eat it on one of the feeding ledges. Comadra plopped down on the soft grass and sighed. “Something the matter princess?” Comadra jumped and whipped around to see Selvin standing behind her twisting a daisy in his hand. “Hello Selvin what are you up to today?” He shrugged and sat down next to her. “I’m not quite sure as of yet. I was thinking of applying for a clutch but that didn’t work out. I was also thinking of Impressing a firelizard but I don’t exactly like the little buggers.” Comadra laughed and said, “Well I got up an hour ago and came straight down here. Not exactly what I would call a fun day.” Selvin nodded in understanding and asked, “And what would you consider a fun day?” She laughed and shook her head, not daring to answer. They sat together talking for awhile and then Xellth said, “Comadra, pay attention. She shook her head to clear her mind and then asked, “I’m sorry did you ask me something?” Selvin laughed and said, “Actually yes, multiple times. What are you doing tonight? It’s been a long time since we’ve done anything.” Comadra laughed and said, “Yes I know. This week has been really hectic and I apologize.” ![]() Comadra climbed to her dragon’s back and the green leapt from the ground, gaining altitude and then gliding down to their weyr. You are going out with Selvin tonight? She asked when they had landed and Comadra had dismounted. She nodded and said, “Yes but I’m not sure what he had planned. Frankly I’m scared.” The green snorted and said, It will most likely be dinner and then something else, knowing him. Comadra nodded and stroked Sauri, who had just landed on her shoulder. “You’re probably right of course. I won’t dress up then.” Why must you always change for a date? I think you look fine right now. Comadra shrugged and said, “It’s a human thing Xellth.” The green crooned and said, I see. Well then you had better get changed fore you may want to leave soon.
