Comadra opened the door to her weyr and stroked Sauri as he landed on her shoulder. He chirped once and then flew off towards her dragon’s quarters. She raised an eyebrow and then walked into the other room as well. “What’s up?” She asked when she got there. Her green looked up and warbled happily. I was wondering when you would get up here. I want to go swimming. Comadra smiled and said, “Well I don’t see why we can’t. Let me get a few things together and then we’ll go down alright?” Xellth warbled again and Comadra walked from the room.

When Comadra walked back in Xellth was already out on the ledge waiting for her. “I guess you really want to go,” she said as she walked to her side. You could put it that way yes, she said a bit testily. Comadra frowned. “What’s wrong with you?” Xellth snorted and replied, What do you mean? There is nothing wrong. Comadra nodded slowly and climbed to her dragon’s back. When she was comfortable she patted Xellth’s neck and the green took off for the lake.

They landed by the edge of the lake Comadra slid down from her green’s back and went patted her neck. “Behave alright?” Xellth snorted and said, And why would I not do that? Comadra shrugged, sorry she had said anything. “Nevermind, just go have fun,” she said as she walked off towards a group of her friends. She waved to them as she walked and as she sat down she heard a loud hissing behind her. “What’s up with your green?” A young man named K’mor asked. Comadra sighed and said, “She’s in heat and I hope she rises soon.

I want to this over with.” K’mor nodded and said, “I hope so to. My brown just tried to say hello and she practically took his head off.”

Xellth cut it out, Comadra told her dragon mentally. The green whipped her head around in her rider’s direction and said, You can’t tell me what to do! Comadra crossed her arms and said, You keep talking like this and you won’t see this lake for a month so I suggest you tone that attitude down. Xellth hissed and turned her back on her rider.

Later that day Comadra said good bye to her friends and walked to the other side of the bank, where she lay down in the grass and fell asleep. Only moments after however she heard loud splashing and the crooning of many dragons. She sat up, rubbed her eyes and looked towards Xellth, who was trying to get away from the males who were literally swimming all over her. Come Comadra we go to the hunting grounds!
