Geranith burst from between and started to circle down to the Weyr. “It’s so big!” Hejalian exclaimed as he looked down at the mountain that was the Weyr. B’nol turned around to face him and said, “Wait until you get inside.” Hejalian continued to look at the Weyr until Geranith was a few feet from the ground. He landed lightly and then kneeled down so that his rider and Hejalian could get off. “Alright, well I’ve got some more searching to do so I’ll have to leave you here. Just walk in there and keep going straight until you reach the sands. It’s kind of hard to miss them but if you need help ask someone.” Hejalian nodded and walked towards the Weyr. As he was walking to the sands a small chirping caught his attention. He peeked into a room and saw a small circle of eggs sitting in a firehearth. “Firelizard,” Hejalian breathed. He walked into the room and sat down by the eggs. A few were beginning to crack so he took some meat from a bowl and got ready to feed it to the first one that emerged.

Three eggs cracked open almost at the same moment and Hejalian looked from one to the other. He finally decided on the one in the middle so he set that one to the side and watched as a small blue wingtip poked through the crack. When the entire wing was out Hejalian picked the shell apart so that is would be easier for the hatchling. The blue creeled in hunger once his head was out and Hejalian handed him a piece of meat, feeding him slowly so that he wouldn’t become overfed. It creeled again and then crawled into the hand that was now empty of meat. He shifted him to his shoulder and he curled around his neck, falling asleep. He stood up and then walked slowly from the room. He brushed his shaggy blond hair from his face and then headed for the sands.

He was about to step out onto the sands when someone called out. He turned around quickly and saw an old woman, holding a thick stack of hides. “I said, can I help you?” Hejalian smiled and said, “I hope so, I’m hoping to apply for a clutch.” The woman nodded and said, “Can I have your name and age please?” Hejalin gave her the information and asked, “What females are the sands?” The woman flipped through the sheets and said, “Gold Lelianth, and green Klieath. I’ll assume you’d like to apply for the gold?” Hejalian nodded and she said, “Alright, well now it’s a waiting game.”
