Goku was sent down to earth to destroy it, but instead he lost his memory and now he protects earth from the hands of evil. His long-time nemesis is Vegeta. Vegeta always gets jealous, when Goku reaches a higher powerlevel. And much as I hate to admit it, Vegeta is powerfull but it is clear he will never be as powerfull as Goku.
