I've decided to dedicate this seperate web page to my favourite character from Dragonball Z, Vegeta.

Vegeta was born 5 years before Kakarot (Goku). His father is also called Vegeta, he is the king of all Saiyans. This means that Vegeta is the prince of all saiyans.
Vegeta's Dragonball Z story started after Raditz had been killed and also after the defeat of the Saibamen.
Vegeta became pissed off when he realized Goku didn't want to carry on his Saiyan-upbringing. And when Goku and Piccolo killed Raditz that was the last straw. He zoomed down to Earth with his henchman Nappa to put and end to Goku once and for all.
All they found were Goku's friends because Goku had been killed in the previous battle with Raditz. So They decided to amuse themselves by picking off Goku's friends one by one.
And just when they were about to kill Krillin and Gohan, guess who arrived on the scene... Non other than Goku!
They attacked at full power but sadly the both of them were no match for Goku's awesome strength. Vegeta, embarrassed by Nappa's weakness, kills his good-for-nothing henchman.
He then flees to Frieza's planet for help.
Up to this point I hated Vegeta's guts, and wanted nothing more than to shoot a Kamehameha up his ass! But during the Frieza Saga something changed inside of him, and his hatred against Frieza became stronger than his desire to defeat Goku.
So by the end of the Frieza Saga he had joined Gohan, Krillin and Piccolo in their struggle against Frieza and the Ginyu Force.
Vegeta killed nearly every member of the Ginyu Force, and then moved on to Zarbon (One of Frieza's henchmen). But because Zarbon had morphed into his monster stage, Vegeta got the living soul kicked out of him, then a while later Vegeta was healed and his powerlevel had rocketed. He charged for Zarbon at full power and totally disintegrated him.
Then he decided to move on to Frieza himself. But his desire to be the best only became his weakness, and Frieza tossed Vegeta around like a rag doll. And eventually killed him (Bastard!).
Then, what do you know........................ that's right - Goku Arrives to KICK SOME ASS!!!!!!!
He charged up a Spirit Bomb (Genki-Dama) and finished Frieza for good...or so he thought, Frieza returned and put a hole through Piccolo with the Frieza Beam, then when he killed Krillin, that was it! Goku got pissed and became the first person for a thousand years to become a Super Saiyan. With his new found powers, Goku tossed Frieza around in just the same way Frieza did to Vegeta. During this battle Vegeta was thankfully brought back to life by the dragonballs (phew).
By the end of the battle the planet Namek exploded, Goku survived the blast (but is light years away from where Namek used to be), but Frieza didn't (YEY).
Then King Kold, Frieza's father turns Frieza's dead body into a cyborg and brings him back alive.
A mysterious stranger named Trunks arives on the scene, just as Frieza and King Kold are about to blow up planet Earth and destroy Goku's friends. Trunks turns into a Super Saiyan and totally destroys Frieza and King Kold.
Then, finally, Goku comes back. Trunks tells him that he is from the future and that he is the son of Vegeta (That would explain the facial likeness) and Bulma. He also says that Goku will soon die from a heart virus. But then the mother of all warnings comes out of Trunk's mouth.
He warns Goku about two androids that are going to suface in three years.
So back to Vegeta, this is the perfect opportunity for him to reach his goal as a Super Saiyan and become stronger than Goku.
Three years later during the fight between Andriod #19 and Goku, Goku gets the heart virus that Trunks warned him about. #19 kicks him around like a rag doll. And just when it looks like trouble for Goku, guess what...yes that's right.... The prince of all Saiyans returns to KICK SOME ANDROID BUTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vegeta miraculously meets his goal as a Super Saiyan. He disintegrates #19 with the Big Bang Attack (a move he has attained by reaching Super Saiyan).

So the prince of all Saiyans has finally reached his desire to be better than Goku. But it doesn't last for long because Goku reaches Super Saiyan Level 2 while he is training with King Kai just before the Buu Saga. Despite this, Vegeta reaches the same level. But then Goku goes overboard and reaches level 3 in the same saga. Then as you probably already know, in Dragonball GT Goku reaches the Saiyan limit, level 4 (actually there is rumoured to be a 5th level but nobody in Dragonball history reaches this level, according to facts anyway!).
This makes Vegeta very angry and he uses Bulma's invention to turn himself into level 4 also.
So by the end nobody is stronger than the other and everybody ends up happy (Despite the fact that Goku gets turned into a God and dissappears).
