Jitsu FAQ

What makes Jitsu different from other martial arts?

The best way to answer this question is to answer it yourself -- try as many styles as you can and see what is right for you. Some styles emphasize punching and kicking, others throwing, others movement as opposed to contact, still others a certain way of life. It is certainly true that Jitsu is heavy on practicality as opposed to reflection and meditation on the martial way. If you are looking for life's answers or a certain kind of spirituality, you are unlikely to get much help from our club.

But if you want to learn to look after yourself in realistic self-defense situations -- if you want to be able to defend yourself from everything from unwanted grabs to head-butts, punches and kicks, multiple attackers, armed or otherwise -- and if you want to do all of this in a friendly atmosphere, then Jitsu is a good place to start.
