The All Seeing Eye lets you see all the servers online at one time. It gets better everytime I update it...... DOWNLOAD IT HERE |

I have used the ASE for a long time, it's the only way I connect to quake. It helps me find our members in servers and who's online and where. I highly recommend it to anyone serious about quake! The ASE also allows remote management of servers without being connected to them....very helpful to have.
GenJustice is a collector of all quake related files. Thanks to his collection we now have a direct source via a FTP from one of his computers available! I hope the items listed will grow and we will be able to offer everyone files and things they would need for quake..nice work! https://home.comcast.net/~scubaman4u/ |

It seems my links keep dying so I advise everyone go here and look through these Files and downloads. This list has grown over the years and is just about every file I know of for quake. It IS a very impressive collection. Http://www.quakeshit.com |

All the CTF servers seem to be using 99n and OSP. The 99n is a client side patch. The OSP patch is needed to connect to the OSP servers. And almost all CTF servers are OSP, without it you will only see a few servers. Version 1.16 seems to run much smoother too, so see what version of quake your running in your console, and try to get these patches. |

I hear players say they can't take screenshots a lot. Open 'My computer' and look in your quake files. The routing will look something like this C:\Program Files\Quake III Arena\NoGhost........(lets say SS wont work in the newer NoGhost servers).....look in the NoGhost folder for a file thats named screenshots. If you dont see one MAKE ONE. Right click and create a new file...carefully name it screenshots. If you dont have a folder named NoGhost make one in your baseq3, and them make a folder in that folder then name it screenshots. That should get your f11 button working again. Hope this helps. |

If you go (update) past version 1.16 you can't go backward. If your operating system (OS) is older then Win2000 then there is a nice software that allows all versions to run. Altough if your OS is newer, then you'll need a good partition or duel harddrives to support mulitiple versions. Ask around on this, theres several ways to do it, and several ways for it not to work at all!
USE THESE TIPS AT YOUR OWN RISK! If I had a dollar for everytime someones brightness has gotten messed up or quit working...! There are a lot of issues between the newer OS and older video cards. The open GL extensions are problems as well. When I started using XP I felt cheated because my old trustworthy vodoo cards drivers wouldn't work with it. Making matters worse I found out that nvidia was taking control of the market and vodoo wasn't going to be supported online any longer! I had to break down and get the newer g-force card. I felt the scandalous microsoft in my pocked but I really had no choice, to play games and run XP it looked like I had to conform to the market. ..Well I was glad I did, all the darkness issues ended and the game ran better then ever! But I still see players struggling with conflicting devices and old drivers with newer operating systems. Here is the single biggest problem I encounter trying to fix quake brightness issues. r_gamma 1 For some reason gamma is being turned off on its own. When its turned back on the game can be adjusted for brightness. I've seen this in several computers so give it a try. More help on this topic is in our forums archives as well. |
