Here's the truck I started with.  

 

This is a head-on view.  The hood is off and the engine and transmission had been removed.  The front bumper is tweaked and the grill will be replaced with a chrome one.  

This is a shot of the interior.  It was resprayed a gold color which of course will be removed.  There will be a tilt column and hanging pedals along with bucket seats of some type.

 

This is the driver's side.  The rear fender will probably be replaced with one without a space tire cutout. 

 

Here's the view from the passenger side.  All of the glass will need to be replaced, and I'm considering late model Honda flush door handles.  The hood and the tailgate are in decent condition and not shown here.

Here's the 302/C4 combo that I just acquired.  This should provide adequate power for the truck.  I've got an aluminum factory 4bbl intake manifold and a factory tubular exhaust manifold for it.  

I've also gutted the cab to assess the sheet metal repairs that are needed.

 


Here's the cab gutted.  It was sprayed gold so it looks rusty but for the most part it isn't.  Note the Mustang Shifter which will be removed along with the stock steering column.

 


Here's the driver's door with the rust damage on the leading edge and the bottom.  I expect to either replace the doors or do a patch panel on the bottom of the door.

Note also that the running board has been cut off so these will need to be replaced.  

Here's the engine bay.  The 302 motor mounts have been cut out and a set of Fatman Fabrications Mounts are to be installed.

The driver's side "A" pillar will need to be replaced.  Again, the cab was painted gold   and it is not as rusty as it appears in the photo.

The front end has been stripped and the doors removed.  The entire front suspension and steering are for sale.  A TCI Mustang II front suspension is awaiting installation.

It took a little bit to remove the front suspension; however, "liquid wrench" (a torch) really worked well!  The next step is to clean the frame, weld up the appropriate holes, weld on the boxing plates, prep and paint the frame, and then weld in the crossmember.
