"In God We Trust." This is a saying that used to have some meaning. Now there are Americans that want to have nativity scenes and the Ten Commandments taken out of public buildings. These same people want prayer taken out of schools. What would our founding fathers say about removing the principles of government that made this country great? September 11 th was a wakeup call in more ways than one. When we want to start removing God from this country, how long is it before he removes this country from his good graces? Do you think the prosperity that this country has enjoyed is just a coincidence? Is Isreal a great nation because they have no enemies or faith? How is it that everyone around the globe wants to live in America, but Americans want to shun their creator and take him out of government? Keep reading this is about to get interesting.
The nativity scene is the story of the birth of the son of God, but people want it taken out of courthouses and public buildings. What threat does it pose to anyone? If your faith is strong and you are not a christian, why would it offend you that a christian wants to remember the birth of Christ at a time when we celebrate Christ's birth? Is it people of other faiths, Satan worshipers, or just people with no faith at all that want to see these scenes removed from the public eye? I walk around all day and my eye notices what it wants to see and ignores what it doesn't want to see. If you are in a public place and you see something you don't want to see you have the option to walk right past it and ignore it as if it wasn't there at all. It's not like cigarette smoke. It has no odor and you won't notice it unless you take the time to notice it. If I wanted to get down to pure numbers I would venture a guess that there are more christians and therefore more christian tax payers in this country than any other faith or faithless group. If we are the majority why shouldn't we be permitted to show it? It is very similar with the Ten Commandments.
Dave Letterman announces his top ten on his show all the time. I think of the Ten Commandments as God's top ten list. These are the top ten most important things to remember to live a good life and to try to stay in God's good graces. Religion and freedom of religion was one of the main reasons that America split from England in the first place. Taxation was the second main reason, but the king was forcing his religion down the throats of people who had their own faith. The Ten Commandments are the basis for the way everyone should try to live. They are ten simple rules that if followed would make everyone's life a little more simple. If guys weren't chasing after other men's wives and jealous about other men's possesions life would be so much simpler.
911 was a wakeup call for America. If we start to take God out of everything around us, how long is it before God turns his back on us? Isreal is a great nation because they are God's chosen people. No matter what their enemies throw against them they will never wipe out Isreal because they are under God's direct care. You take God out of the schools and American education isn't what it used to be. You take God out of America and America will fall. American integrity went down hill when Bill Clinton was elected not once but twice. "I never had sex with that woman. " He smoked marijuana but he never inhaled. When God goes integrity also goes and there isn't much left. When are we going to learn?
"America the land of opportunity," why are we the land that everyone around the world envies? This country was built on a strong foundation of faith by men who sacrificed to make it great. God was with them and with us every step of the way. If you are one of the wicked people or people who lack faith in God you better repent and change your ways. I'm 37 years old now. My life would be empty without God. If we are going to stay strong and stay the envy of the world; we will only be able to do it with God's help.
