I am starting to wonder if I am the only normal being in the away team.
I was rather shocked to find out that the white catiod, is not a pet.
It is actually Lt. Commander K'Lynxyl, I believed to be some sort of hybrid catiod.
Commander Lera t'Resan, a Romulan female, is the Number One to the ship's Captain (currently a Captain M'Rander, who I have not meet yet), it was this Comdr. Lera that led me to believe that Lt. Comdr. K'Lynxyl was a pet.
Why would she purposely mislead me? Oh horror.. She did ask Captain Lee if it was ok for T'kee to eat K now… Oh!!!
Did she really think I would do such a thing blindly? I over heard earlier something about Lt. Comdr. K'Lynxyl had tried to eat Commander Lera at some point in the past. I certainly don't want to be involved in a personal revenge plot.
I have suffered being dropped in rank already when I was transferred from the USS Dunwich over to the USS Freedom over a simple misunderstanding. Eating a superior officer's pet animal was bad enough, eating a commanding officer would land me in the bridge and get me court marshaled, I read that as demoted or dead forever.
Have I landed in a ship full of barbarians who eat other? Or was it an inside joke? Frankly I'd like not to find out, it is likely to make me angry with them regardless. I have my career to devote my time too.
Lt. Comdr. K'Lynxyl it, um.. She certainly does not act like a commanding officer, all the pouting and crying and.. Well caterwauling goings on. It is so very immature for someone of that rank. Thus added to my confusion and acceptance of her rank and name. I find myself still wondering.
At least no one died, or at best was not eaten.
Something strange is certainly going on there.
Earth has always been a pretty place. Ah, to soar the friendly skies of Terra Firma again. Well I thought there were friendly. While following the black car with the captain stuffed inside it's maw, I was attacked by a small flock of black birds and had to fry 3 of them to stop them from pecking my eyes out. I hated having to kill the animals but it was becoming very serious and they were extremely aggressive. I could not just shoo the little dive-bombers away, when I did, they kept following me, pecking with needle sharp bills and scratching with their tiny talons. They were very much capable of blinding me.
This caused me to fall far behind the black car. So I roasted the little pests with Captain (XO) Lee's phaser I had picked up off the ground earlier. I believe the distraction caused me to fall far behind the black car.
LT. Dammers commed me to inform me that he was on the way on a two wheeled cycle. I was happy to hear part of the grounders were finally on the move.
I lost sight of the car shortly after this and started to fly in a circle to wait for the away team to catch up.
I gave him directions to go and the roads to turn on and he caught up fairly quickly.
Shortly I could see LT. Dammers and the white.. um.. LT Commander coming she was riding behind Dammers on the uniseat of the bike.
That is when I suddenly noticed a human on a bike appear out of no where. I mean he wasn't there one wing beat, then suddenly he was there on the next wing beat. Shortly after his appearance there was other flashes of lights below and more bike-riding humans appeared.
Out of nowhere a very shocking and an unexpected blast from an energy weapon flash past me extremely close. It nearly charred my beautiful wing feathers! I was under attack! I could not tell where it came from because I was not looking down at the moment. When I looked down again the flock of other humans seemed to be all very angry with the first human who had appeared. Was it he that fired the weapon?
I dove for cover, a stand of small trees on the road side, landed, and breaking off a few of the limbs for camouflage, I trotted toward the road to have a look.
Dammers finally got close enough, dismounted from the bike and had his rifle at ready. The first human started crying something about the flock was trying to kill him. I dropped my camouflage and pulled the phaser off my belt just in case of a firefight started. I do so loath hostilities, and would rather not have to take such a stance.
To my amazement Lt. Dammers KNEW this human. He was the runaway Ensign they were looking for that started this quest, this was sometime before the commander was captain-napped by the black car.
The flock of bikes caught up with the group. The largest one in the flock was obviously the leader dismounted and it started to scream "KILLLLLLLLL" and staggered forward with some sort of bent iron weapon in it's digits..uh hand.
Lt. Commander K'Lynxyl got off the bike she had been sitting on and strolled very casually toward the flock. This was not good. I decided to make a diversion by stepping out into the road, standing at my full height, spreading my wings out. I puffed up my feathers to appear bigger as well. All mammals hate that.
I had flown up, and landing behind the flock to get a better advantage for crowd control. With Lt. Dammers in front of the flock we could cover them quite easily with stun fire.
The humans wisely decided to do as I asked them. They dropped their weapons and knelt in submission. This was much to my happiness and relief. This is when I learned that the Ensign had attacked and broken the arm of the larger human's brother.
Lt. Dammers also announced to Ensign Brundle that he was under Official Federation Arrest for disobeying orders, attacking superior officers and breaking the arm of Captain M'Rander……
Then one called Brundle, ignoring what LT. Dammers had just said to him, stepped between me and my prisoners and in my line of fire, I was holding the phaser at ready in front of me, and he expected for me to drop my guard to shake hands with him? Right in the middle of possible hostile aliens? (hostile aliens equals the bikers who were kneeling)
Did he also want to break my arm in an attempt to escape again?. I was amazed at Brundle's lack of basic military training.
Dammers informed me that they (the flock of humans and bikes) could not be arrested, as we did not have any way to detain them. So we sent them on their way.
We are heading to Las Vegas now. I am both dreading this and getting excited about seeing this legendary place. I did not have the chance to see it while I was stationed on earth for my 6 years of training.
I am also getting a little hungry, I pushed my wings hard to keep the black car in site. I hope we can find a few things on the way, some tools to adjust my combadge, a tricorder, some length of wire, phone lines, and a Chile dog stand.. we are after all on Earth… ummmm…. Chile dogs….(stomach growling).
