IT STARTED AS A BURST OF INSPIRATION, a dream to create and innovate the Campus Ministry of  SMCL.

Fresh from secondary school, former Youth for Mary and Christ trainors T - Jay Medina (BSED-1) and John Michael Alzona (AHRM-1A) proposed a three-day activity dubbed as Fiesta Krusada to the coordinator Ms. Florence Castillo during the first semester for AY 2001-2002.  Newly elected officers Laarni Tolentino, president, Jennifer Zamora, vice-president, Archieval Mercado, secretary, Marina Geneciran, treasurer, Joann Umali, auditor, Amor Umali, Special Projects, Noelyn Crystal Aldueza, PRO, Peter Leo Roxas and Rhea Villaflores, sgts at arms and Randy Llanto and Kristine Jan Calano, business managers, were able to give inputs and more creative ideas for the realization of the dream.

Three days.  One mission.

To introduce the rosary as a tool in uplifting the spirituality of the youth.

The rosary played a vital role in the development of the project.  The leaders had this in mind.

Through the efforts of Ms. Castillo and then YMC animator Ms. Marife Magpantay-Remoto, Fiesta Krusada was born.

On  October 17, a Marian Seminar was  facilitated by Fr. Francis Liwanag of the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Sallete based in Silang, Cavite.  In the afternoon, a living rosary was held.
On October 18, the Jesus Film Project of Campus Crusade for Christ International was exhibited at the Audio-Visual Room with high school students as viewers.

On October 19, an Interschool competition was held.  Six schools participated in the three events: a Bible Quiz, an Essay Writing Contest, and a Poster Making Contest.

University of Perpetual Help System Laguna emerged as champion in the Essay and Poster Contests for its delegates' creative interpretation of the theme of the fete through the arts.

On the other hand, Canossa School of Sta. Rosa won over-all Best School for copping the first place trophy in the Bible Quiz Contest.

The other schools that competed were: Colegio San Antonio, Our Lady of Guadalupe Academy, Jacobo Z. Gonzales Memorial School of Arts and Trades, and Our Lady of Divine Grace School.
