Round Ten & the final of the TKR VTA League was run on Thursday night at the fast Laguna Seca Circuit. Firstly I'd like to personally thank those guys (you know who you are) for persevering and finishing the Season off. The final round was a tad disappointing with only four drivers showing but nonetheless we soldiered on. Congratulations once again to SBR Motorsport (Deij & Jazz) for yet another Teams Championship Series win. These guys have shown throughout the last thirty odd rounds that they are true Champions. I have personally seen both of them grow in ability over this period and they have now forged themselves into being very fast and competent drivers. Once again, well done bros and fully deserved.
This is truly a sad day for TKR with the curtain being finally drawn on the VTA Mod. Also and I'm not sure if anyone is aware but I have just downloaded and have been testing a new track made by Lucky Chopp called BATHURST. Yes you have read right. Lucky has just released this track for Christmas and I must say it is not bad at all. It is an understatement to say its a real disappointment to not be able to run this track as we have waited for so long for it to be released for Nascar Heat. Perhaps we could do a Round here at some stage........... for anyone interested, click for the link to download it. Well thats about it from me guys. I will keep you all informed on the future of TKR as we prepare to go forward and hopefully run either Nascar 2003 & its mods or the V8 Mod for F1 Challenge.
Now to the nights racing........
In Server One we had Deij (SBR), Jazz (SBR), Hsv (TMOPAR) & Jbr (JB&Z). After four tough heats, Hsv emerged the victor by a slender margin. Coming home in Second Place was Deij followed by Jazz in Third. Rounding out the placings was Jbr in Fourth. Great racing guys.
