Week 9 - The highlight of this week is Peyton's second checkup at the pediatrician. Daddy had a class, so mommy & baby went to the doctor together. Peyton is as healthy as can be, and growing rapidly. As of April 3, he is 23 3/8 inches long and weighs a whopping 13 pounds, 8 ounces! At this doctor's visit he had his first round of immunizations, which made him VERY upset! Mommy did well though & didn't cry at all. After we got home, we had a LONG evening...Peyton was very fussy for about 4 hours after the shots. I'm sure his little legs hurt quite a bit. Poor baby! The following night, Leif & Trilby had the opportunity to take advantage of our next door neighbors/babysitters and go out for a nice dinner. Leif had a conference in town & they put on a fancy dinner. It was a nice night, and Peyton had fun playing with the two boys next door. |
Week 10 - A nice relaxing week at home. We spent the weekend at home taking care of chores around the house. Nothing exciting going on this week! |
Week 11 - Highlight of this week is Peyton's first big road trip! It's spring break for everyone and we travelled to southern Utah for 4 days. We toured Zion, Bryce, and Capitol Reef National Parks; Snow Valley, Calf Creek, and Goblin Valley State Parks; and many other historic and scenic places! The weather was beautiful...mostly in the 70's and 80's during the day and in the 40's and 50's at night. Which allowed for Peyton's first camping trip! He had a great first night in the tent. He slept better than he does at home! He also had his first night in a motel...where he had a queen sized bed to himself! What a life! |
Week 12 - No sooner than we arrived home from our spring break trip, Mommy and Peyton washed our clothes, packed up, and headed out again. We went to Polson with Uncle Loyd for Great-Great-Grandma Johnston's funeral. Although it was a somber reason for a trip, we had a nice time visiting with family. Peyton met all of his great aunts and uncles on the Howell side of the family, and they had fun playing with him. |
Week 13 - Another quiet week at home, which is nice after all of our travelling in the last couple of weeks. The BIG highlight of this week is Peyton is SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT! Yahoo! He goes to bed right at 10:30 p.m. every night and is not waking up until about 6:30 a.m. most mornings. Which is heaven after getting up every 3-4 hours for the last 13 weeks! Yea for Peyton! What a big boy. |
