Week 18 - The big highlight of this week is a fun visit from "Uncles" Anthony and Andy from Fairbanks! We had a super time with them. They arrived on Thursday afternoon and didn't have to go home until Monday afternoon. So we had a few days to show them around Utah. We went to Moab on Saturday and Sunday, camping out on Saturday night. Peyton did well in the tent again...sleeping better in it than he does at home! We toured Arches National Park on Saturday, going for a few hikes and taking lots of pictures. On Sunday the boys did some mountain biking while mommy & Peyton hung out at camp. In the afternoon Uncle Anthony, Peyton & mommy went to Canyonlands National Park while Andy & daddy did more biking. We all had dinner together at Eddie McStiff's before we went back to Salt Lake. On Monday evening Peyton had his first bowl of rice cereal! More of it ended up on mommy & daddy, but by the end of the week, he's eating from a spoon like a champ! We ended the week with a visit to the doctor, where Peyton had 4 immunization shots. Ouch! He didn't cry for long, and didn't even seem to notice the owies at all later in the evening. |
Week 19 - A week of traveling! We left Friday afternoon for Butte, Montana to watch Grandpa Mike graduation with his Master's Degree from Montana Tech. Peyton got to meet his great-grandparents Brown for the first time and we also saw great-grandparents Howell, and Uncle Branden and Sarah again. Sunday was mommy's first Mother's Day, and we had brunch with the whole family. Grandpa and Grandma Cox even drove over to be with us. After bruch daddy drove back to Salt Lake and Peyton and mommy went home with Grandpa and Grandma Brown for the week. We had a fun time playing with them in Polson. |
Week 20 - From Polson, Peyton & mommy went down to Frenchtown to spend some time with Grandpa & Grandma Cox. Daddy came back to Montana on Friday night, and Grandma Carla graduated from the U of M on Saturday with her Ph.D. Peyton got to meet his great-grandma Evie, and Aunt Gretchen, Uncle Jim, and cousin Kyle for the first time. We also saw Uncle Caleb & Auntie Heidi too, along with lots of friends from Missoula. We had a fun time at grandma's graduation party. Mommy and daddy went for a fun bike ride, while grandma babysat Petyon. We drove home on Sunday afternoon. |
Week 21 - Since Peyton is eating real foods now (he's tried peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, and sqash), great-grandparents Howell bought him a high chair so that he can sit at the table with mommy & daddy. That's a great treat for all of us, and we can eat with both hands now! Mommy turned 27 this week, and Peyton and daddy cooked her a delicious birthday dinner. Grandpa Mike came for a visit since he had a conference in nearby Park City. He stayed at our house for a couple of days and then we visited him in Park City for dinner one night. He babysat Peyton while mommy & daddy went for a mountain bike ride. |
