Simba's Pride is the long awaited sequel to The Lion King.
The film begins with the presentation of Kiara, Simba and Nala's daughter. Kiara grows into a curious young cub. Simba warns his daughter not to visit the Outlands, where the exiled followers of Scar live. Kiara goes there despite Simba's warnings and meets Kovu, a young Outlander cub. Kovu is spotted by his mother, Zira, Scar's mate. Zira tells Kovu not to talk to the Pridelanders. She then realises a plan! Kovu could get to Kiara...and then to SIMBA! Kovu's brother, Nuka is jealous. After all, Scar wasn't Kovu's father! Vitani, Kovu's sister is young and goes along with the plan. Years later, Kiara is on her first hunt. Nuka and Vitani set fire to the Pridelands. Kovu 'rescues' Kiara and joins the Pride. In time, however, instead of harming Kiara and her family, Kovu becomes closer to them. Simba takes Kovu on a walk...however Zira and the pride are there and they attack Simba! Nuka, desperate to show his mother he can kill Simba, leaps to the top of a gorge but is killed by a landslide. Zira, even angrier at Simba and Kovu plans with her pride. Simba, back in the Pridelands, exiles Kovu for 'his' ambush. Kiara runs after him and the pair decide to return to the Pridelands to save the pride! Back at the Pridelands, Zira has arrived and began a horrific battle between her pride and Simba's! Kovu and Kiara arrive and cause the Outlanders to rebel against Zira and join Simba. Zira leaps at Simba, but Kiara dives in front of her. The two fall down a cliff, but Kiara is almost to the top. She offers to save Zira, but the evil lioness is reluctant and lets herself die.
The Pride is now one, with Simba and Nala the king and queen and Kovu and Kiara the next generation.
