Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't you have your own domain name?

There many reasons whyI have choosen not to have my own domain name and site.  One being many dishonest companies have made it difficult to trust other well meaning companies with a credit card. Unfortunately we have run into this problem in the past and have choosen to remain with a free host at this time.  Our company, TLK Review Service, is still a bit small at this point and would rather consider getting our own domain at a later time when the companies reviews area grows a bit larger.  As of now everything that would be available at a domain site that we would own, is available here.

We also post our reviews on Epinions.com. to offset this issue. This a very popular site with a data base that covers more than two million products and services. People, such as we, have posted over one million reviews and comments to date on a wide range of products or services on this site. These reviews are read and rated according to helpfulness by readers and Advisors (Assistants who check reviews for content and offer advice on improving review writing skills).  We have found this to be an excellent additional source for posting reviews and getting the word out about your product.

How long to reviews remain on your site?

Reviews are left on this site permantly. No reviews are removed from here intentionally.

How long have you been writing reviews?

Off and on for about three years (Recently life demanded we take a short hiatus) Our first review is a microwave we received from Emerson Radio Corporation three years ago while we were review writers for a company called Editors Choice(No longer around). After our disatisfaction with the company and oposing views on how a review service should run we chose to upstart our own. I have sent in many forms only to be told that they would not send the product cause they could never get in contact with the company(I had the same trouble as a reviewer). Unlike most review companies who's main focus (whether they admit it or not) is to sell as many packages as possible (consisting of review forms to mail out) to prospecting reviewers, ours is to simply use the product, write our review and post it in a timely manner where it can be seen by as many viewers as possible. We feel it should be that simple and so far it has been with no problems.
