| With Oct. temperatures setting records, is this a sign of the winter to come? If so, then it is time to make sure that heating systems are operational. Clean and adjust systems to give you maximum efficiency. Lock windows and check doorways for leaks that can cause infiltration of cold air. Clean windows and remove screens to allow the maximum amount of sunlight to enter, light and heat your home. Move furniture away from baseboard heaters and windows to allow circulation and full light penetration in each room. And as always, consider investing in a solar hot water system for free hot water and space heating. |
